Room was cozy, but I had issues with the cleaning service timing.

Convenient base for short stay, felt like home. The room turned out to be nicely refurbished and new-fashioned with fresh varnish and shared bathroom, as for instance. Provided breakfast was very very good with bacon and poached eggs, for instance, exceeded our expectations.

Would definitely recommend for a fleeting pause
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, as they provided efficient luggage storage and a cute atmosphere for exploring the nearby attractions.
Nothing could be improved.

Location
Although it is under construction, but it shouldn't be starting at 8am in the morning! Futher i never stay at a hotel which charge local phone call per minutes, this is absolutely rediculous and it is definitely a scamb.

The facilities were clean, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Upon arrival, my room was uncomfortably cold, and while the management provided a heater, the issue still persisted throughout my stay. The breakfast was disappointing. Items ran out quickly, and I had to wait too long for assistance.

We chose Hotel Sophia for its proximity to Southern Cross Station. We needed to overnight in Melbourne for an early international flight the following day.
Room was very small, difficult to get to window side of the bed.

Standard Double Room felt cozy with a large, comfortable bed. Excellent cleanliness throughout, and free Wi-Fi worked perfectly for planning my days. Location close to many attractions made exploring easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, reception was understaffed, leading to a wait upon arrival. No sockets near the bed for charging devices caused some inconvenience. Noise from the street was noticeable at times, but manageable. I encountered issues with the breakfast offerings. The coffee machine was empty, and only a limited amount of food was available. Aspects of my stay were good, yet improvements in service and dining options would enhance the experience significantly.

The room was not only charming little, but recently renovated too, and had coffee, climate control, and an iron. I loved the view over city. The location was good and unbeatable as for me, short walk to a cafe nearby, and Southbank.

The only thing we "liked" about this hotel was the fact we were able to get a bed for the night. We had to travel to Melbourne at short notice for my wife to attend a medical procedure and due to the rugby match everything was booked out .We saw the Sophia and booked through necessity. We noted later that the room we were charged $700. for was usually $190.00. This equates to triple plus cost for one night an absolute disgrace!!! Particularly for what was provided.$190.00 Maybe at a pinch $700 no way!! Breakfast was dreadful, poorly presented and frankly quite embarrassing! Anyway dont ask me for a reference for this poor excuse for a hotel. (at least the bed was clean)..
